About Remedial Massage
Remedial massage aims to assess and treat the body’s muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues to assist in rehabilitation, pain and injury management. Remedial massage involves specialised techniques to locate and repair damage and manipulate muscles and soft tissues. Some of the more common remedial massage techniques are trigger point therapy, joint loosening and passive stretching.
Remedial massage pressure varies. It can be deep or shallow, gentle or strong. It depends specifically on the problem identified during the client intake interview. Please note for specific illnesses and injuries, please ask for your GP’s consent before booking an appointment.
